Enjoy a FREE day that celebrates all things magical at Durham Castle
Castle Community Action (CCA) and Durham Castle Museum invites you to celebrate all things magical. With a free dragon egg hunt, quidditch demonstration, crafts and guided tours this is not a day to be missed! This is event is completely free, with fancy dress encouraged!
Enjoy a magical family day out with a dragon egg hunt in the secluded castle gardens, craft activities in the Great Hall, and mini-family fun tours of the castle at 1.15, 1.45, 2.15, 2.45 and 3.15 (places on the tours are limited and will be allocated on a first come basis). Dragon egg hunts will take place at 1.30, 2.30 and 3.30
Please note that due to the nature of the building the tour and activities may not suitable for under 5s. The dragon egg hunt won’t be rained off (so come prepared for any weather!).
Adults as well as children need to book tickets.
The historic nature and layout of the Castle means that the majority of the building is inaccessible to wheelchair users and pushchairs. The tour route involves some steps and staircases, some of which are uneven.
Please bring a print out of your ticket or your booking number to the event.
