Explore the great works of inventors and innovators from the 12th to the 20th centuries in this Treasures of Durham Cathedral Library event. Get up close with the Cathedral's historic library collections, including the works of famous scientists, thinkers and writers, and examples of great innovations in printing technology. Discover the fascinating history of unique manuscripts and printed works, including an early 13th century manuscript of Aristotle's work on logic, annotated by a monk of Durham Priory, and possibly the first ever polyglot (multilingual) printed book, a psalter printed in 1516 with Hebrew, Roman and Arabic scripts printed side by side. 

Tickets cost £5.00 (£4.50 concessions), available from the Visitor Desk 9.30am - 4.30pm Monday to Saturday, 12.30pm -4.30pm on Sundays, by phone 0191 338 7178 or online.
