The City of Durham Farmers' and Producers' Market is held on the 3rd Thursday of every month in the Market Place - the perfect chance to source quality local foods and drink direct from local producers, as well as hand-crafted items.
It offers a wide range of regionally-produced items including fresh local meats, cheeses, breads and seasonal vegetables. There are also producers of handcrafted gifts and homewares.
The Market starts at 9am and usually trades until 3.30pm or until sold out if sooner.
It is worth turning up early, particularly in December, when the queues for brussels sprouts are impressive!
