Community Brass Day

St Oswald’s Institute, Church Street, Durham


St Oswald’s Institute, Church Street, Durham. Saturday 2nd June, 10am-1pm

Durham Festival of the Arts is running a Community Brass Day, open to all brass players of any age and ability. Led by world renowned band conductor Russell Gray, there will be a workshop 10am-12noon where the band will learn some pieces and receive guidance from Russell. There will then be a 30 minute break for refreshments (some will be provided but feel free to also bring lunch) before an informal performance of pieces at 12.30. Friends and family of those attending the workshop are welcome and encouraged to attend the performance. Places on the workshop are open to any local and university brass band player.
