Sort wardrobe woes for the summer season at Fashion InDurham

With the warmer weather and lighter nights signalling the start of summer (hurrah – and about time too!), we’ve announced the return of a special event designed to help shoppers rid their wardrobe woes and nail their new season style.

That’s right! Expert stylist, Belinda Alexander, will be in the City for the return of Fashion InDurham this weekend. The event, which is designed to showcase the wares of fashion retailers from across Durham City, will take place on Friday 20th and Saturday 21st April between 11am and 4pm in St Nicholas Church Hall in the Market Place. Will we see you there?

There is a lot of investment being pumped into the City at the moment, which is in turn attracting lots of new and exciting brands to Durham’s high street. Fashion InDurham is a great opportunity for you to explore and see what they have on offer that appeals to your sense of style.

For example, we were delighted to recently welcome M&Co to Prince Bishops Shopping Centre as well as the high-end fashion brand, Psyche, to Silver Street. Of course, along with these names, it’s the independent fashion retailers like award-winning Woven and The Mugwup that really make our high street here in beautiful Durham different to the likes of the Arnison Centre or other towns close by.

You see, that’s the purpose of Fashion InDurham. It’s to showcase the exceptional clothing and accessories scene we have here in the City, while helping you to update your wardrobe with the support of a team of expert stylists.

An appointment with Belinda is a really wonderful experience (trust us – our team have even sought her help and loved every minute of it!) and together we’re encouraging everyone who attends Fashion InDurham to stay in the City a little longer – shop, enjoy a meal, even maybe a cocktail or two and really make the most of your time in Durham during the course of the event.
During Fashion InDurham, you can book a free one-to-one consultation with Belinda and a member of her team.  During the 30-minute slot, Belinda will discuss your style, clothing concerns and anything else that may be giving you wardrobe woes. Then, using her experience of over 25 years gained as a model, stylist and personal shopper, Belinda will pick out items from retailers across Durham that would work well for the new spring/summer season, giving you a truly unique and tailored experience.

After all, the high street here is like no other with some brilliant big-name brands sitting perfectly alongside much-loved independents.  There’s something to suit everyone here and Belinda is on-hand to help you work through your own unique style, so you leave feeling fabulous and looking fantastic ready for the summer season.

Appointments are free of charge to attend and can be booked directly with Belinda by calling 07747 111702.  While appointments are not always necessary for style consultations and drop-ins are accepted, we’d advise if you’re interested in taking up a slot to call and book in advance to avoid disappointment. We’d hate for you to just turn up and not be able to get in for an appointment!

In addition to the team of stylists on hand at Fashion InDurham, representatives from the different make-up counters in Boots will also be available, giving visitors mini make overs ready for the new season. If you’d be interested in a make-up consultation during Fashion InDurham, then you must book an appointment in advance and let Belinda know when you call, so we can ensure a member of the team from Boots is on-site ready for your arrival.

Sound good? Just take a look at the list of retailers planning on taking part in Fashion InDurham: Next, Monsoon, FatFace, New Look, Edinburgh Woolen Mill, M&Co, Rupert & Buckley, Woven and Psyche.

So, what are you waiting for? Call Belinda today on 07747 111702 to book your free appointment before they’re all snapped up and we’ll see you at Fashion InDurham very soon!
