The North Road Bus Station public exhibition - 20 and 21 October

We are encouraging businesses in the city centre to attend the consultation events around the North Road bus station redevelopment.

A public exhibition displaying plans and images of the proposed bus station regeneration is taking place between 11am and 6pm on Thursday 20th and Friday 21st October 2016 at North Road Methodist Church. The full public consultation on the proposals is open until Friday 4 November 2016.

We work with businesses in Durham City Centre to ensure their input is considered on many issues including proposed redevelopments. We strive to ensure that the opinions of the business community are heard and that their valued feedback forms part of the final plans.

The improvements of North Road have been widely welcomed and the development of the new bus station will help to make such an important entry point to the City more user friendly and enjoyable for visitors.

We welcome input and feedback from our business partners in the City so we'd encourage you to visit the public exhibition events to find out more about this exciting regeneration project. If you have any questions please contact us and we'd be pleased to help.

Durham County Council's proposals include a new bus station, paving and road changes. The plans also see land in the area which will be brought forward for private sector development.
