Are you ready for an extra special Fashion InDurham event?
Thursday the 19th May marks the very exciting launch of Thursday late-night shopping in Durham City!
Durham City has a fantastic retail offering, from big name brands to unique independents, and the start of Thursday late night shopping will let you enjoy all Durham has to offer until 7pm each Thursday. To celebrate there will be a special Fashion InDurham event taking place on Thursday 19th, Saturday 21st and Sunday 22nd.
The event will give you the chance to discuss and get top advice from an expert about your personal style and this season’s major trends. Ex-model, Belinda Alexander is a skilled stylist and personal shopper and will be joined by a second stylist. Both will be on hand to consult with shoppers and offer guidance on any fashion or style questions you may have.
On Thursday, stylist Belinda will be based in a marquee next to BHS in Prince Bishops from 2pm-7pm. Working with retailers including New Look, Fat Face, H&M, Jones Bootmakers, Monsoon and BHS’ Wallis and Miss Selfridge, the stylists will have a selection of outfits for inspiration, which suit a variety of body types, complexions, personalities and occasions. The stylists will help you to find the colours, cuts and must-have pieces which will best complement your individual shape and style.
On Saturday, the Marketplace will play host to the stylists from 11am-4pm with support and outfit inspiration from Superdry, Mountain Warehouse, Woven, Hotter Shoes, Marks & Spencer, EAST and Andersons of Durham. Sunday will then see the return of the two stylists and their fashion marquee to Prince Bishops next to BHS, from 11am-4pm, with outfit picks provided by the same retailers as Thursday’s event. After your consultation, the stylists will be able to escort you to the stores where you will be able to find and try on your favourite pieces.
Open to both men and women, you can book a 20 minute appointment with the stylists online to avoid disappointment, or you can drop-in on the day to see if any appointments are available.
Planning your journey into the city to take advantage of late night shopping? Don’t forget, Belmont Park & Ride’s is extending its opening hours until 8pm on Thursdays, making it even easier to make use of Durham’s later opening hours.
Not only can you enjoy longer shopping hours on the Thursday, but remember to take advantage of great deals and offers with Fashion InDurham and Dine InDurham also taking place over the weekend.
