It’s that time we all look forward to – Dine InDurham is back again this weekend!
This month Dine InDurham has even more to offer. If you’re a tea enthusiast, you need to get yourself to the Tea and Cake Pairing Evening at Tealicious Tearoom, from 7pm-9pm on Thursday 19th. You’ll be introduced to six new blends of loose leaf tea, all carefully matched with sweet delights. The evening will show you how different varieties of tea work well with different flavour profiles and how the aromas and essence in one, can enhance and even change the flavours in the other.
There’s even a new addition to the eateries taking part in Dine InDurham this month, as Durham’s newest restaurant Fat Hippo are also offering a set-price menu on Sunday evening! Why not start your weekend with tea and cake, and end it with one of Fat Hippo’s famous burgers?
Dine InDurham takes place on the third weekend of every month, with restaurants and cafes across the City offering simple set-price menus for £5, £10 and £15. So, what does that mean for you? Well, you can shop until you drop and then recover and refuel with so many great food options on offer!
Whether you’re looking for a light bite, or something more substantial, Durham really is a hub of foodies, and we’re pleased that Dine InDurham continues to offer something to suit every palate and please every pocket.
Durham really is the place to be on Thursday 19th May. Not only can you dine for less, or enjoy tea and cake after hours, but remember you can also shop for longer too. Thursday 19th also marks the launch of late night opening every Thursday in Durham with retailers offering extended opening hours, and Belmont park and ride is open until 8pm making your journey into the city even easier!
What’s not to love? Get yourself down to Durham City this weekend where there’s something to suit everyone! And remember, Tealicious’ Tea and Cake pairings event starts from 7pm and tickets must be booked in advance.
