We’ve got some exciting news for you…
If you live in or near Durham (perhaps even further afield) you’re in for a tasty treat, as we’re preparing to welcome the return of Dine InDurham. Following a year’s hiatus, our palate pleasing event is back but this time, with a twist.
Drawing on the well-known ‘Restaurant Week’ model first made famous in New York, you can enjoy special offers and set price menus across the participating restaurants, cafes and other eateries in our beautiful city.
And as if that’s not the good news, wait ‘til you hear this…
Rather than only being able to take advantage of what’s on the menu of one week of the year, Dine InDurham will now take place on the third weekend of every month, starting from 16 July. In previous years, Dine InDurham has been a huge success and so we thought it was a shame to restrict the event to just one week per year.
Durham has an exceptional food offering that rivals any other town or city in the North East. From pub grub favourites to gastro bars, quaint tea rooms to authentic Italian coffee houses, there really is something to please every palate. Not to mention the growing international food scene; if you’re feeling a little adventurous, you can check out some of the sushi bars or waffle houses for a taste-bud tour of the world.
During the course of each Dine InDurham weekend, you can enjoy set-price menus from participating restaurants for just £5, £10 or £15. If you haven’t been to Durham for a little while, this is the perfect reason to take a trip to the city and explore what’s on offer. You can enjoy a whole host of delicious food that doesn’t need to cost the Earth. With Dine InDurham you can please your purse and your palate.
