It’s not long to go until Christmas and we all know it can be a bit hectic this close to the big day. To help get your Christmas in order, we’ve put together a checklist to make sure you’re fully prepared for the festivities come the 25th.
Shopping – And we don’t just mean for gifts. Wrapping paper and batteries for new toys should all be on the list too
Food – Drinks and snacks can be bought now ahead of time to help ease the pressure so you only have to pick up fresh food closer to the day
Cards – Are they bought, written and sent? Don’t forget about last postage dates!
Decorations – Have you trimmed the tree yet? Either dig out your Christmas boxes or update your ornaments with some new purchases and fill your home with festive spirit
Family plans – Do you know what everyone’s doing and have you arranged the get-togethers
Wrapping – It’s always easier to wrap gifts as you go along rather than leaving them all until Christmas Eve. Get started now if you haven’t already
If you still have food, gifts, cards or decorations left to buy, Durham city centre has everything in one place to help make your Christmas go smoothly, all while set against the thoroughly festive back drop of a beautiful Medieval city.
And remember, Christmas is supposed to be a joyful time of year so make time to have fun too – why not come along to hear local choirs singing carols in the streets of Durham city today and tomorrow to enjoy the run up to Christmas.
However you’re planning on spending this festive season, we’d like to wish you a very Merry Christmas and glad tidings for the New Year too!
